The City of Scott Louisiana implemented a regional detention plan in order to remove certain properties from the 100-year flood plain. In accordance with this plan, HTEC provided professional engineering services to design the regional detention pond. The design ensured the pond system was in compliance with the FEMA approved flood study. The final pond design called for the excavation of approximately 82,000 CY of material, providing much needed flood relief for the City of Scott and surrounding properties.
