In order to improve its floodplain management program, The City of Youngsville set out to install regional detention ponds to strategically improve the drainage system of the City in critical areas. HTEC designed the project and navigated the entitle process through a public/private partnership with the City and a local developer. The design provided for the excavation of approximately 434,000 CY of material, significantly improving the overall drainage system and reducing flooding impacts to the area.
